An attack vector is a
- "path or means by which an attack can be or is made on critical infrastructure."[1]
- "[m]echanism or method used by an attacker to gain access to a target's computer system and/or deliver an effect.[2]
Overview
It "provides information about the assets that can be targeted and the type of threat used per asset."[3]
Attack vectors enable hackers to exploit system vulnerabilities, including human errors.
